The beginning is the most important part of the work. - Plato
Today the Franklin Dog Park opened. What a great park to take your dog and to socialize with all the dog lovers!! To see the different types of dogs and the love from there masters is great. We will be hanging out there a lot. Please donate to help maintain the park at:

After a storm comes a calm - Matthew Henry
I think it's safe to say we are all cleaned up from that terrible storm a few weeks back. We lost one tree in our back yard I had to cut up and many other branches in our yard. We were a lot luckier than some of my neighbors. So now we have just regular fall cleanup to finish up before the real snow falls. Lots of leaf raking and gutters to clean.
We are excited to have our town opening our first dog park in about a week. It's been long over due. Thanks to one 13 year old girl, Haley, who goes to Ben Franklin Classical Charter Public School. She started this whole thing as a school project. Good for her!!
We have been taking Angus to the Sharon Dog Park which is a great park, just a long ride. We also have taken him to the Hingham dog park, Stoddard's Neck. That also is fantastic, but even a farther ride. What's nice about this park is it has a small beach for your dogs. But it will be nice to have a dog park just a mile away from our house. We look forward to it!! Thanks again to Haley for getting this whole thing rolling.

October 2011 Snow Storm
Another fine weekend in New England!! Never thought we would lose power for 60 plus hours from an ice/snow storm in October. It was a crazy storm that only dropped about three inches but it was a wet, icy, slushy storm with all the leaves still on the trees. That all put together made for a treacherous night on Saturday night/ Sunday morning. Down trees and power lines EVERYWHERE in my town of Franklin, Massachusetts and also the surrounding towns. We just got power back a couple of hours ago from losing it at 1:45 am Sunday morning.
We made the best of it with our generator and fireplaces. Angus still loved playing and eating the snow during the day, and helping me cut up some down trees or at least he thought he was helping me when I would drag the tree branches to the back yard and he would just want to play and try to rip them out of my hands. He seemed to be sleeping a bit more than usual at night probably because of the darkness of the house and it being so cold too.
Our town was wise to cancel Halloween until this coming Friday, that is how bad the roads were and how many people did not have power. So the cleanup will commence again tomorrow to have the house ready for the trick-or-treaters. Not sure if Kelly will be dressing up Angus this year, but that's ok, he can help just handing out candy. The kids get a kick out of Angus and he gets a kick out of them. Bring on the candy!!
